Hello! Just one topic today: whither the Church of England? It’s now just weeks away from finally deciding who will succeed Justin Welby as Archbishop of Canterbury, but what is in this person’s in-tray? Facing one of its lowest ebbs, battered by scandal and torn apart from theological division, can the church be saved? What should the new ABC prioritise? And, is there any realistic chance they can steer the good ship C of E back to calmer waters?

Then we have my latest podcast (How did we all come to think science and religion were at war?), and lots of links to interesting church news stories from around the internet, including is empathy a sin, the most horrifying use of nail scissors by a priest ever, and a graveyard row.
